[Established Date] Tianjin officially signed a sister city agreement with Almaty in Kazakhstan on Aug 30, 2025, marking a new milestone in China-Kazakhstan cooperation.

[City Characteristics] Almaty is one of the main agricultural provinces in Kazakhstan. It has a relatively developed irrigation agriculture and its agricultural product output value ranks first among all the provinces in Kazakhstan all year round.

[Cooperation Fields] The city has built strong ties with Tianjin in trade, investment and water-saving technologies.
