[Established Date] Tianjin officially signed a sister city agreement with Astana, capital of Kazakhstan, on Aug 30, 2025, marking a new milestone in China-Kazakhstan cooperation.

[City Characteristics] Astana plays a key role in regional diplomacy, having hosted major summits including the 11th and 24th Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and the 2nd China-Central Asia Summit.

[Cooperation Fields] Its collaboration with Tianjin has already yielded great results in vocational education, infrastructure, healthcare and cultural exchanges.
