[Time] Tianjin and Bishkek signed the sister city agreement on May 18, 2023.

[City Characteristics] Bishkek is the capital and largest city of Kyrgyzstan, located in Chu River Valley in northern Kyrgyzstan. It covers an area of 160 square kilometers and has a permanent resident population of 965,900. Bishkek is the political, economic and cultural center of Kyrgyzstan and the largest transportation hub in the country. The main industries include machine manufacturing,metal processing, food industry and retail trade. There are more than 20 universities in the city, as well as over 10 influential news media outlets, and numerous cultural venues such as theaters, museums, and cinemas.

[Field of Cooperation] Tianjin and Bishkek have carried out cooperation in economy, trade, personnel exchanges and other fields.
