【Established Date】Tianjin and Incheon of the Republic of Korea (ROK) officially established friendship-city relations on December 7, 1993.
【City Characteristics】Incheon, a satellite city of Seoul, is the ROK's second-largest port city. It is home to numerous small and medium-sized enterprises, with four industries—automobile, machinery, metal, and motor—constituting 70% of the total. Incheon International Airport is set to become a hub airport in Northeast Asia in the future. The development plan for Incheon Port aims to integrate five functions: air port, communication port, seaport, sightseeing port, and business port. The Incheon Free Economic Zone, designated by the state, includes three areas—Songdo, Yeongjong, and Cheongna—currently undergoing rapid development.
【Cooperation Fields】Tianjin and Incheon have engaged in fruitful exchanges and cooperation in economy and trade, culture, and personnel exchange, serving as a model for friendship-city cooperation between China and the ROK.
