I. Eligibility

Applicants who are eligible for permanent residence in this category should comply with Chinese laws, be in good health, have no criminal record, and meet the following conditions:

Work as deputy general manager, deputy factory director or above, or have the title of associate professor, associate researcher or above, in high-tech enterprises, encouraged foreign-invested enterprises, advanced technology foreign-invested enterprises, or foreign-invested export enterprises in Tianjin. Foreigners who have worked in China for at least 4 years at the time of application, and have resided in China for no less than 3 years within the past 4 years, and have good tax records, can apply for permanent residence in China through the Exit and Entry Administration Department of the public security organ.

The foreign spouse and children under the age of 18 of the applicants can apply for permanent residence together.

II. Documents required

(I) For principal applicants:

1. A valid passport and visa or residence permit;

2. A recent two-inch/passport-sized color photo with a white or light blue background (electronic version may also be attached);

3. Work Permit for Foreigners issued by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (valid for the continuous 4-year period before the date of application);

4. Certificate issued by the employing unit covering personal resume, job title, expertise, achievements and other information;

5. Registration certificate of the employing unit (enterprises should provide a copy of the Business License, and other units should provide such certificates as the Certificate of Legal Person of Public Institutions. If the employing unit is a foreign-invested enterprise, it is also necessary to submit the Approval Certificate of Foreign-invested Enterprises, the Receipt of the Establishment of Foreign-invested Enterprises, or the Receipt of Change Filing for Foreign-invested Enterprises);

6. Project supporting documents or confirmation letters. High-tech enterprises should provide the Certificate of High-tech Enterprise; Foreign-invested enterprises should provide the Confirmation Letter for Projects Encouraged by the State (both domestic and foreign investments); Advanced technology foreign-invested enterprises should provide the Confirmation Letter for Advanced Technology Foreign-invested Enterprises; Foreign-invested export enterprises should provide the Confirmation Letter for Foreign-invested Export-oriented Enterprises (valid for 4 consecutive years prior to the applicant's application date);

7. Personal income tax payment certificate issued by the tax authority for the last 4 years.

8. Certificate of no criminal record from abroad.

(II) For the spouse if applying concurrently:

1. Valid passport and visa or residence permit.

2. A recent passport-sized color photo (2 inches) with a white or light blue background (electronic version may also be submitted).

3. Marriage certificate.

4. Certificate of no criminal record from abroad.

5. Health certificate.

6. Other necessary relevant supporting documents.

(III) For unmarried children under 18 if they apply concurrently:

1. Valid passport and visa or residence permit.

2. A recent passport-sized color photo (2 inches) with a white or light blue background (electronic version may also be submitted).

3. Birth certificate or proof of parent-child relationship, and in the case of adoption, an adoption certificate shall be submitted.

4. Other necessary relevant supporting documents.

III. Notes

1. Documents issued abroad need authentication by the Chinese embassy or consulate and must be translated into Chinese by a registered translation company, with its seal and cross-page seal on the documents.

2. Ethnic Chinese of other nationality must strictly follow the "Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China" and related regulations for nationality review, providing relevant certification. Applicants who have not canceled their Chinese household registration should do so before applying.

3. Ethnic Chinese of other nationality must provide relevant certification if their English name is not a romanized one based on the Pinyin system.
