China to implement trial visa-free policies for citizens of nine countries

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Nov 1 that China will expand its visa-free entry policy to further facilitate international travel.

According to Lin, starting on Nov 8, citizens holding ordinary passports from Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, and South Korea will be eligible for visa-free entry into China.

The policy will allow travelers from these countries to enter China for business, tourism, family visits or transit for up to 15 days without a visa. The trial period for the visa-free policy will run until Dec 31, 2025.
