The Industry Cooperation Conference of the 2026 Multinational Enterprises Visit to Tianjin was held in Tianjin on Oct 23, bringing together representatives of 240 foreign-funded enterprises and institutions from more than 30 countries and regions to explore investment opportunities.

Tianjin Mayor Zhang Gong and CITIC Group Chairman Xi Guohua delivered speeches at the event.

Zhang highlighted Tianjin's strengths as one of China's first coastal open cities, noting that more than 300 Fortune Global 500 companies have established operations in the city. He expressed Tianjin's commitment to expanding high-standard opening-up, strengthening industrial cooperation and improving services for multinational investors.

Xi called for deeper collaboration in areas including artificial intelligence, innovation, and investment, emphasizing the role of CITIC Group in supporting Tianjin's development.

Representatives from various companies and institutions, including Italy's Eni, Kazakhstan's City Transportation Systems, German International Economic Senate, and Honeywell, shared their perspectives on expanding cooperation with Tianjin.

During the conference, cooperation agreements were signed between foreign-funded enterprises and Tianjin, as well as between CITIC Group and the city.
