A total of 455 companies from Tianjin will participate in the 140th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, scheduled to take place in Guangzhou in three phases from Oct 15 to Nov 4.

Marking the fair's 70th anniversary, this edition will cover 1.55 million square meters, with 75,700 booths and about 32,000 participating companies. Tianjin will have 960 booths, with exhibitors concentrated in sectors including building and decorative materials, hardware, furniture, bicycles, carpets, and garden supplies.

The city has further optimized its exhibitor lineup to highlight its industrial strengths, particularly in bicycles, industrial automation, intelligent manufacturing, new materials, and chemicals. Of the participating companies, 56 will attend the fair for the first time, while 137 are recognized as manufacturing single-product champions, high-tech enterprises, or specialized and innovative enterprises.

Tianjin is also expanding efforts to help exhibitors secure overseas orders. In September, the city partnered with the China Foreign Trade Center to host a matchmaking event, bringing 16 quality buyers from the Canton Fair to connect with more than 50 local suppliers across six industries.

During the fair, Tianjin will encourage companies to launch new products and join livestreaming sessions featuring international hosts, helping them reach more global buyers and expand overseas markets.
