The 2026 Legislators Forum for Friendly Exchange is being held in Tianjin from Oct 11 to 13, bringing together nearly 70 legislators from more than 50 countries for visits and exchanges.

During their visits on Oct 11 and 12, the legislators explored several sites across the city, including Tellyes Scientific Inc, the Advanced Research Center for China Artifact Art of Tiangong University, Tianjin Ancient Culture Street, and Jinyi Park.

These visits gave participants an up-close look at Tianjin's achievements in scientific and technological innovation, industry-education integration, cultural heritage preservation, and urban renewal, with the guests speaking positively about the city's progress in technological innovation, urban governance, and green, low-carbon development.

Founded by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the forum serves as an important platform for dialogue and exchange among legislative bodies worldwide, enabling participants to share governance experiences and strengthen mutual understanding. Previous editions were held in Shenzhen in 2023, Shanghai in 2024, and Urumqi in 2025.
