Ethiopia is showcasing its rich history, diverse culture, and stunning natural landscapes to Chinese visitors at the 2026 China Culture and Tourism Industries Expo in Tianjin.

Mandefro Shiferaw, minister counselor of the embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in China, spoke with reporters about his country's unique tourism appeal.

"I came here to introduce my homeland to the people of Tianjin and visitors from all walks of life," Shiferaw said. With a history spanning more than 3,000 years, Ethiopia is widely known as a cradle of human civilization.

The country is presenting a wide range of tourism resources at its exhibition booth, covering history, culture, landscapes, wildlife, and birdwatching opportunities. It is also offering travelers a distinctive experience that combines ancient civilization, vibrant traditions, and spectacular natural scenery.

Renowned as the birthplace of coffee, Ethiopia offers visitors a chance to learn about traditional coffee-making techniques and sample its celebrated varieties.

The Embassy of Ethiopia in China plays a key role in promoting the country's tourism resources and destinations to the Chinese market.
