China is expanding international cooperation in vocational education, with Tianjin emerging as a hub for sharing training expertise, equipment, and standards with countries involved in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Since its opening in Tianjin in September 2025, the China-SCO Vocational and Technical Education Cooperation Center has hosted over 200 delegations, attracting nearly 3,000 visitors. The center has fostered collaboration in areas such as vocational training equipment, digital resources, talent development, and education standards.

More than 50 sets of training equipment developed in Tianjin, including intelligent connected-vehicle platforms and AI teaching modules, have been delivered to schools in Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Egypt, and other countries. In Egypt's Suez Canal Economic Zone, over 60 sets of equipment have been installed across 11 training areas, covering industrial robots, welding, mechanical assembly, and photovoltaic technology.

The center is also developing multilingual teaching materials and digital courses in areas such as new-energy vehicles and artificial intelligence, while training vocational teachers and education administrators from around the world.

To date, 101 international students from 14 SCO countries have attended Tianjin University of Technology and Education.

From equipment and courses to talent and standards, Tianjin's vocational education is becoming an important bridge for international cooperation in skills and shared development.
