The world's first EPIP College was launched at Mahasarakham University in Thailand, marking a new milestone in international cooperation on vocational education.

Jointly established by Tianjin Transportation Technical College and Mahasarakham University, the college fully adopts the China-developed Engineering Practice Innovation Project (EPIP) teaching model, bringing Chinese vocational education from project-based exchanges to a new stage of systematic overseas development. 

Unlike traditional classroom learning, EPIP focuses on learning by doing, enabling students to develop practical skills and solve real-world engineering challenges through hands-on projects.

The newly established college features independent teaching facilities, a complete curriculum system, and a locally trained teaching team specializing in more than 10 engineering fields, including civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, high-speed rail engineering, and electric vehicle technology.

As an upgraded version of the Luban Workshop initiative, the EPIP College aims to integrate Chinese vocational education standards with Thailand's higher education system and local industry needs. It will support curriculum development, teacher training, technological research and talent cultivation.

From the launch of the first Luban Workshop in Thailand a decade ago to the establishment of the first EPIP College today, China-Thailand vocational education cooperation continues to grow stronger, creating new opportunities for skills development and industrial growth across the region.
