The 4th Tianjin International Shipping Industry Expo concluded on June 5, highlighting the latest developments in smart, digital, and green shipping while reinforcing Tianjin's role as a key international shipping hub in northern China.

Covering 50,000 square meters, the expo attracted 422 companies and organizations from across the maritime industry chain. The event recorded more than 70,000 visits and featured four themed exhibition areas, project signing ceremonies, government-enterprise meetings, and over 20 professional forums and industry activities.

The expo served as a platform for industry leaders, government officials, researchers and business representatives to discuss the future of shipping. Key topics included artificial intelligence, digital transformation, multimodal transportation, green shipping and the integration of ports, industries and cities. Several major industry reports were also released, exploring China's port economy and the growing application of AI in the maritime sector.

A major highlight was the signing of agreements for 41 key projects covering shipbuilding and offshore engineering equipment, modern shipping logistics, green finance, leasing services, and digital technologies. Many projects involve leading enterprises and are expected to inject fresh momentum into industrial upgrading and innovation.

Exhibitors showcased cutting-edge technologies, equipment and solutions from across the global shipping industry, demonstrating the sector's accelerating transition toward greater efficiency, sustainability and intelligence.

Building on the expo's achievements, Tianjin plans to further advance smart and green shipping, attract more global maritime resources and promote deeper integration between ports, industries and urban development, helping strengthen China's dual-circulation strategy and high-quality economic growth.
