At the Tianjin 2026 Global Business Leaders Roundtable on March 25, international guests shared their visions for deeper cooperation and mutual development. Among them, Maria Grazia Buratti, vice-president of Italy's JAC Foundation, expressed strong interest in expanding collaboration with Chinese institutions, particularly in the field of vocational education.

Buratti highlighted an ongoing partnership with Tianjin Modern Vocational Technology College, where 14 Italian students are currently attending a two-week training program on drone technology in Tianjin. The initiative marks a promising step toward closer educational ties between the two countries.

Looking ahead, Buratti outlined a three-phase plan. The first stage focuses on bringing Italian students to Tianjin for training. The second involves jointly designing training programs that could be implemented in Italy, with continued collaboration between Chinese and Italian instructors. The final goal is to establish a drone studies major.

She emphasized her enthusiasm for the project, hoping to gain a deeper understanding of the optimal pathways for Italian institutions looking to engage in partnerships with their Chinese counterparts.
