Tianjin marked the 100-day countdown to the 10th World Junior Wushu Championships with a press conference on Dec 15, unveiling the event's emblem, medals, mascot, and slogan. The announcement extended a global invitation to young martial artists to pursue their dreams on this prestigious stage.

The World Junior Wushu Championships, one of six official competitions of the International Wushu Federation, is the largest and most influential youth wushu event worldwide. Since its inception in 2006, it has provided young athletes with a platform to showcase skills, exchange experiences, and celebrate martial arts culture. This edition is particularly significant: it is the first time the event will be held in Chinese mainland, coinciding with its 10th anniversary and serving as a key step toward wushu's debut at the 2026 Youth Olympic Games.

The event's aesthetic blends martial spirit, Tianjin's cultural heritage, and youthful energy. The emblem integrates martial figures, the tai chi symbol, and a five-pointed star. Medals draw inspiration from Tianjin's Nezha mythology, featuring a hollow Qiankun Quan design. The mascot, Wu Xiaoxia, portrays a spirited young warrior modeled on Nezha. The slogan, "Tianjin – where wushu dreams ignite", reflects both the aspirations of athletes and the city's mission.

Scheduled to be held from March 26 to 30, 2026, at the Tianjin Olympic Center Gymnasium, the championships will feature taolu (routines) and sanda (sparring) across children, junior, and youth groups. With 83 gold medals at stake, the event will also debut a preliminary-final format in taolu to highlight top talent. Pre-registration is underway, with official registration opening Dec 23, as young martial artists worldwide prepare to showcase their vitality in Tianjin.
