Tianjin has issued its first talent endorsement for travel to Hong Kong and Macao, as it rolls out new immigration service measures introduced by the National Immigration Administration.

Since Nov 5, professionals working in Tianjin — including outstanding talents in research, education, healthcare, law, and other fields — have been eligible to apply for multi-entry endorsements valid for one to five years. Each visit allows a stay of up to 30 days.

On Dec 11, a Tianjin resident surnamed Lin, who frequently travels to Hong Kong and Macao for academic exchanges, became the first recipient. He expressed excitement: "This is very convenient. With the endorsement, I can easily participate in academic activities across the three regions." His endorsement permits unlimited travel for three years, making it easier for him to engage in research and attend scholarly engagements.

To ensure the policy's benefits are widely understood, Tianjin's Exit-Entry Administration has coordinated with talent authorities and the free trade zone management, actively promoting the endorsement to eligible professionals. Officials from the China (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone noted that the policy will enhance the city's appeal to high-level talent and support enterprise development within the zone.

The Exit-Entry Administration pledged to continue optimizing services and fully leveraging the policy to promote smoother talent mobility between Tianjin, Hong Kong, and Macao. By strengthening collaboration and supporting talent strategies, the initiative is expected to contribute significantly to Tianjin's high-quality economic growth.
