The China (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone and Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) co-hosted a business forum that aimed to help companies go global on Sept 16. It was held in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area and attracted the participation of over 100 company representatives.

A key international logistics hub, JAFZA offers attractive policies such as zero import and re-export tariffs. At the event, its business development team introduced investment incentives and Middle East market opportunities, inviting Tianjin enterprises to explore partnerships.

"We learned about JAFZA's support in investment and logistics — areas we value highly," said Chen Mingyue from an international trade company. "We're now considering second-hand car exports through Jebel Ali Port," Chen added.

The China Northern (TEDA) One-Stop Global Services Base, a co-organizer of the forum, provides outbound support including market research, legal compliance and operational setups.

"We've received strong interest from sectors like advanced manufacturing, medical devices and auto parts," said Zhang Xue, executive deputy secretary-general of the base. "We'll help promote cooperation between Tianjin enterprises and JAFZA."

The event followed a strategic cooperation memorandum signed last September between the two zones.

"JAFZA can be a key gateway for Tianjin companies expanding abroad," said Wu Xiaoqing from the Tianjin FTZ administrative committee. "We'll continue strengthening ties with Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states and help more firms access global markets," Wu added.
