The World Smart Industry Expo 2025 concluded on Sept 8 in Chongqing, where Tianjin officially announced it will host the 2026 edition. At the closing ceremony, the Tianjin Municipal Government extended a warm invitation to all sectors of society to join next year's event and collaborate on shaping the future of intelligent industries.
Tianjin made a strong impression at this year's expo. Over 100 local companies attended, and more than 100 innovative products were displayed across a 500-square-meter exhibition zone. The display attracted over 200,000 visitors, highlighting Tianjin's progress in developing advanced, green, and intelligent manufacturing capabilities.
During the expo, Tianjin hosted the entrepreneur exchange event and held two matchmaking sessions focused on intelligent manufacturing and life and health. These events promoted Tianjin's strategic location, innovation ecosystem, and supportive policies, while strengthening ties between enterprises in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Chengdu-Chongqing regions.
Representatives from over 20 leading companies — including Alibaba Group, China Aerospace Science and Industry Co Ltd, and Ant Group — gathered to explore industry trends and discuss collaborative opportunities.
"We've learned from Chongqing's hosting experience and laid the groundwork for next year's expo in Tianjin," said Chen Liangwen, deputy director of Tianjin Industrial and Information Technology Bureau.
