From June 24 to 26, a Tianjin delegation visited the Mogilev region of Belarus, hosting a series of "Tianjin Week" activities to celebrate and enhance the cultural and economic connections between the two regions.
The "Five-Year Cooperation" economic and trade exchange meeting featured approximately 20 Tianjin enterprises from sectors such as machinery manufacturing, import and export trade, biotech, textiles, and auto parts. These companies attracted hundreds of local enterprises for on-site B2B business matching at their exhibition booths.
At the "Oriental Elegance" themed event, showcased were over 50 selected items, including calligraphy and paintings, porcelain artworks from the Tianjin Museum, and renowned folk cultural heritages such as the Yangliuqing New Year prints, Zhang's clay figurines, and Tianjin paper-cuts.
The carefully prepared martial arts demonstrations, calligraphy displays, tea ceremonies, and folk instrumental performances captivated nearly a thousand local audiences. These immersive experiences allowed them to feel the infinite charm of Chinese culture.
Besides, the traditional Chinese medicine promotion activity and the friendly table tennis match for teenagers were warmly welcomed by the local community, promoting health and sports engagement.
During the event, several cooperation agreements were signed to further promote exchanges and cooperation at all levels and in various fields, ensuring a bright future for the partnership between Tianjin and Mogilev.
Since establishing friendly exchanges in 2019, Tianjin and the Mogilev region have maintained close ties across various fields. This partnership has fostered continuous development and deepened the friendship between their people.
Last year, Anatoly Mikhailovich Isachenko, chairman of the Executive Committee of the Mogilev region, led a delegation to Tianjin, co-hosting "Mogilev Week" activities to showcase the unique charm of the Mogilev region. This year's "Tianjin Week" reciprocated the gesture, offering the people of Mogilev a chance to connect with and experience the culture and vibrancy of Tianjin.
"Tianjin Week" has not only strengthened the bonds between Tianjin and Mogilev, but also opened new doors for future collaborations, enriching the cultural and economic landscape of both regions.
