The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and People's Daily launched a "Me and China" writing campaign on April 17, inviting friends from all corners of the globe to share their fond memories with China.

Participants are encouraged to submit essays detailing their experiences in China or their interactions with Chinese friends. Submissions should be vivid and accurate while using concise and vivid language.

All pieces must be original and previously unpublished, including by online platforms. They can be in Chinese or other languages, with translations into Chinese or English provided for non-Chinese works.

Essays written in Chinese should not exceed 3,000 words, while those in English should be less than 2,500 words. For other languages, please refer to the word count of the translated Chinese version.

Photos, videos or other materials submitted with essays are welcome.

Please email essay submissions to meandchina@peopledaily.cn, with a contact phone number. The deadline for submissions is May 25.

Some of the best will be published. The Chinese versions will be featured in the "Me and China" column of People's Daily, while the English versions will be published on the English channel of people.cn and People's Daily English language app.

All published works will receive royalties. Additionally, after the essay collection period ends, outstanding entries will be awarded certificates and prizes.
